Salpo customer success – read the stories behind our projects

Salpo launches Cheltenham Festivals prototype visitor app

We just partnered with Cheltenham Festivals to launch a new mobile app, to help visitors navigate The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, from 5-14 October.

This is the official app for the 2018 Festival, guiding visitors through the 10-day, 450 event, 1000 speaker programme, with searchable event and venue details and Festival Village maps.

The Cheltenham Festivals App features:

  • Simple navigation of the full 2018 Festival programme
  • Search for events by day, time, theme or venue
  • Favourite the events you love, to plan your Festival itinerary
  • Check ticket availability and purchase tickets on the go
  • Add events to your calendar, invite friends and get reminders
  • Navigate the Festival Village with interactive Google-overlay Maps

People have long been flocking to the Literature Festival, with a record-breaking 134,000 tickets sold last year. But the world-renowned registered charity, whose year-round participation programme includes the town’s internationally-acclaimed Jazz, Science, Music and Literature Festivals, constantly strives to improve the visitor experience, so engaged the expert help of Salpo Technologies.

Salpo happily obliged, offering free software development services for its local neighbour and registered charity. They built a simple to use but effective iOS and Android app in just four weeks, from concept to delivery.
