Toasting the launch of Cheltenham Music Festival

Just a brief post to thank our fabulous friends and clients, Cheltenham Festivals, who kindly invited us to celebrate the opening weekend of the Cheltenham Music Festival last Friday, in the serene surroundings of Skillicorne Gardens.

Natalie and Yasmin ‘took one for the team’ (where was my ticket?!) to represent Salpo, enjoying an evening of free food, drink and music, in Skillicorne Gardens – an intimate courtyard location within Cheltenham’s Imperial Gardens.

Needless to say, they thoroughly enjoyed the occasion, sipping wine in the early evening sunshine, while mingling with familiar fellow local businesses. Here are some pics, to give you a flavour…

Huge thanks to Cheltenham Festivals for the invite! We wish them every success with the Cheltenham Music Festival, which is on now and runs until the 14th of July.

Regulars here may recall we worked with Cheltenham Festivals last year to develop the official app for The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2018, guiding visitors through a 10 day, 450 event, 1000 speaker programme, with searchable event and venue details and Festival Village maps

Local companies showcased at Gloucestershire Business Show

We joined fellow local businesses recently, exhibiting at the annual Gloucestershire Business Show on 21-22 May. This year, the venue shifted from the usual Racecourse home to Cheltenham Town Hall; an impressive new backdrop for this 2-day festival of business.

Despite our global client base, we’re passionate about the Gloucestershire business community and this event offers a fantastic opportunity to engage. We met many new contacts, across the breadth of local business, and reconnected with some familiar faces.

We also enjoyed inspirational talks on the LiveTalk Stage, a few rounds of speed networking and a free massage or three, thanks to Cotswold Mobile Massage. Needless to say, we found the show very rewarding.

Here are a few pics from the two days, featuring our fabulous show team; Natalie, Ollie, Yasmin and Mat…and the back of my head! We’re easy to spot, in resplendent turquoise…

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand and/or took time out to chat to us. We look forward to speaking again soon and I’m sure we’ll be back at the show next year.

Pics 3 and 5 were taken by us. All other pics kindly supplied by event photographer Chris Boulton – click to see the full Gloucestershire Business Show gallery on Chris’s website.

A day at the races with the Pied Piper Appeal

We have the best clients. One of our newest, the Pied Piper Appeal, recently invited us to attend their annual business lunch and auction, at the Cheltenham Festival – pinnacle of the National Hunt Racing calendar.

We happily obliged, enjoying a fabulous day out, including a three-course lunch, a smattering of champagne and just a smidgen of gambling. We didn’t take many pics but here are a couple, showing our vantage point course-side and our table within the huge dedicated marquee…

Such a fun day. But it wasn’t all indulgence. We also networked with many other Gloucestershire businesses, who came together to support this worthy local charity. An auction was also held, to raise important funds for this worthy cause.

The Pied Piper Appeal are using our CRM Business Platform to manage all their funding and stakeholder interactions. Here’s what they had to say…

‘Salpo created a bespoke system to suit our needs, providing top-level reports quickly and easily and logging communications with businesses, volunteers, suppliers and individuals’.
