The challenge

Love Wimbledon is a Business Improvement District (BID) focused on helping Wimbledon to reach its full potential, through a programme of activities and outreach.

To meet its objectives, Love Wimbledon monitors and interacts with a diverse range of property owners, landlords, tenants, businesses and managing agents.

Before working with Salpo, all data was contained within spreadsheets, with limited ability to track connections between variables and minimal cross-organisation visibility.

The solution

We worked closely with Love Wimbledon to fully understand the functions of a BID, along with their specific operational requirements and objectives.

We customised our flexible CRM business platform to fit Love Wimbledon, creating fields and modules to capture all relevant details. We added custom connections to map relationships between properties, owners, tenants and service providers, with custom fields such as levy discounts and ballot information.

The system records all notes plus actions taken and notifies team members, creating visibility and transparency for all staff across the organisation. Love Wimbledon can evidence work completed, using reporting functions to gain meaningful insights. This enables them to quantify resource used, justify spend, demonstrate impact within the town centre, and communicate this to stakeholders.

About Love Wimbledon

Love Wimbledon BID is a not-for-profit, limited company, owned and led by local businesses and aimed at helping Wimbledon to maximise its full potential. As a Business Improvement District, Love Wimbledon was set up in 2012 and is funded by a 1% levy from businesses within its geographic remit, based on the rateable property value.

These funds are gathered and applied directly to activities and projects within the BID area only – Wimbledon town centre. Activities include events, promotion and partnerships, plus investing in Wimbledon’s future, making it a vibrant and attractive place to visit, work and live.
