All November long, the Salpo team have been supporting Movember to change the face of men’s health and tackle prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental heath issues and suicide prevention.
We’ve been collectively growing and moving for this great cause. By ‘growing’, I mean attracting ridicule from friends, family and strangers for adorning our upper-lips with silly ‘taches. And by ‘moving’, I mean running, walking or crawling as far as possible, to add to our team total.
After a slow and itchy start, the UK office now boasts several legit moustaches, with wearers showing varying degrees of attachment, spanning ‘I can’t wait to get this thing off my face’ to ‘you know, I kinda like this look. I might keep it’.
The girls in the office who can’t grow moustaches (that’s all of them, by the way) embraced the challenge to ‘move’ for Movember, racking-up some serious miles in the process. And they were quick to wear a fake mustache when the opportunity presented itself.
Speaking of which, our mid-month appearance at MAD//Fest allowed us to take our moustaches to the masses and further fly the flag for Movember. We also launched our GoldenTache £10K Giveaway, with a donation to Movember for every entry.
We also held a bake sale at our offices, welcoming donations for an impressive range of sweet and savoury delights – they were a big hit with our neighboring offices, raising a further £240 for the cause. Special thanks to Hannah, Natalie, Yasmin, Paul and Ollie for stepping-up and producing the goods.
And there’s a further incentive – for every donation of £30 or more on the 29th or 30th of November, Loreal will donate a further £30, until they exhaust their allocated £125K pot. Thanks to everyone for your support!
